Among their stops, they visited the Church of San Vitale in Ravenna, where the mosaic of Empress Theodora inspired Verdura's iconic Byzantine designs. Transforming the Empress' mosaic necklace into gems and adding a decadent drop, Verdura created the “Y” Necklace.
